School board agenda

The Staples Motley School Board will meet Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m. at the Motley School media center. Note change of date.

The chairs of the finance, policy, facilities and curriculum committees will be available at 6:45 p.m. to discuss issues and/or answer questions from the public. School board chair Mary Freeman will discuss any other issues not identified for the committees.

Tentative agenda items so far include: o School/community forum on School Board Recognition Week. o Finance items including awarding the bid for the Motley Family Center and presentation of proposed budget cuts. o Curriculum items including approval to develop day care provider/coordinator position for the Motley Family Center operating through community education. o Personnel items including approval of contracts for Marci Lord, business manager, and Angela Palach, accounts receivable; approval of unpaid medical leaves of absence for Aletha Flickinger and Debra EagleTail; approve posting for a special education teacher and for a special education paraprofessional; approval of the spring extra curricular coaches. o Other items including approval of the pay equity report and the district technology plan. o Reports from principals, high school dean of students/ activities director, buildings and grounds supervisor, superintendent and school board committees.
